Zusammenfassung

The Human Aura by Walter J. Kilner is a book that explores the concept of the aura, a supposed field of energy that surrounds and emanates from the human body. Kilner was a physician who became interested in the aura and developed a method for observing and studying it. In this book, he describes his research and findings, including the different layers of the aura and their colors, as well as how the aura can be affected by various factors such as illness and emotional states. Kilner also discusses the potential uses of aura observation in medical diagnosis and treatment. The book includes illustrations and photographs to aid in understanding the concepts presented. Overall, The Human Aura is a fascinating exploration of a mystical and controversial topic, written by a respected medical professional.1920. The author emphasizes his discovery is physical, not based on the occult. Kilner's findings are based on years of patient experiment and considerable supporting evidence. Contents: The aura of healthy persons; etheric double; inner aura; optical problems; effects of the different forces upon the aura; complementary colors; outer aura in disease; inner aura in disease; use of the complementary colored bands in disease; aura during pregnancy. Also contains 64 illustrations. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.

Walter J. Kilner MRCP (1847-1920) was a British medical electrician and physician active in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. He served at St. Thomas' Hospital, London, where he was responsible for the administration and oversight of electrotherapy treatments, and he also maintained a private medical practice in Ladbroke Grove, London.Kilner's professional career unfolded during a period when electricity was an established therapeutic modality within mainstream medicine, and when physiological research increasingly explored the effects of electrical, optical, and energetic phenomena on the human body.He is best known for his experimental investigations into human vitality and perception, including the use of early optical technologies to observe radiance associated with physiological processes. His writings reflect a transitional phase in medical and scientific history, marked by active inquiry at the intersection of medicine, physics, and perception. While some aspects of his work fall outside modern biomedical frameworks, Kilner's contributions remain of historical interest to readers studying the development of electrotherapy, early biophysical research, and the evolution of medical thought at the turn of the twentieth century.
