The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the United Arab Emirates, was a great figure, an inspiration to leaders, officials, and society, and a unique role model in overcoming difficulties and achieving accomplishments. He was and remains a role model for anyone who wants to translate their ambitions and dreams into reality. A visionary with far-reaching goals, he was undeterred by the desert sands. Through his inspiration, he united seven disparate emirates and declared the union of the United Arab Emirates, a nation that has achieved global prominence through its accomplishments and its people in record time. Zayed taught everyone that inspiration creates opportunities, and opportunities are the first line written with determination and willpower in the story of success.
The late Sheikh Zayed presented a comprehensive vision for communication, cooperation, and brotherhood, a vision in which differences dissolve and aspirations unite to achieve the impossible. Zayed, may God have mercy on him, had a special interest in the environment, and he set before his people a strategy that calls for environmental balance between man and his needs, and his environment and its requirements. There should be no extravagance in the needs of man, nor negligence in preserving and sustaining the environment. The singular vision of man's process and his centrality is an incomplete view that will lead humanity to an environmental catastrophe, the signs of which have appeared in climate change.
