J.P. Mitchell is an educator, certified teacher, author, and TEDx speaker. She has been published in education journals, the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, and HighlightsHello magazine. Her debut book, Sweet Fire, earned a starred Kirkus review and was named a Kirkus Best Book of 2023. She has been a keynote speaker and workshop presenter at the Westerville City School District, The Ohio State University, YWCA, and the LeadHERship Conference. She lives in Westerville, Ohio.
