Elizabeth Okeyele-Olatunji is a craft writer, educator, and Chief Imaginator at Tunnizze Creation, an initiative dedicated to passing on the joy and heritage of needlecraft to young children across Africa. Since 2012 she has taught over 5,000 children to knit -- with a goal of reaching 20,000. She is the author of Knitting ABC: 22 Patterns for the Young to Explore and writes widely about knitting as a tool for mental health, grief recovery, and joy, drawing on her own experiences and interviews with others who use needle and thread as a means of self-expression and healing. Her work explores themes of creativity, identity, and intergenerational knowledge-sharing through the fiber arts. A member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, she holds a professional diploma in education, is a Craft Yarn Council-certified knitting instructor, and is a Craft Industry Alliance 2023 scholarship recipient.
