Sandra Biskupski-Mujanovic is a researcher at the University of Toronto's Links Lab. She was previously a SSHRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the University of Waterloo Political Science Department and the Balsillie School of International Affairs. Dr. Biskupski-Mujanovic holds a PhD in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies with a specialization in Transitional Justice and Post-Conflict Reconstruction from Western University. She spent two years as a Steering Committee member at the Women, Peace and Security Network-Canada and has published peer-reviewed articles in International Journal, Canadian Foreign Policy Journal, Canadian Military Journal, and Sexuality Research and Social Policy. She also has several chapters in edited volumes on various facets of gender inequality and has written in numerous non-academic venues. She does critical work on security, militarization, and gender inequality.

Veronica Kitchen is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Waterloo and the Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA), where she researches national security and teaches in the fields of International Relations and Global Governance. She is Director of the Global Governance programme and has served on the Board of the BSIA. She was co-director of the Canadian Network for Terrorism, Security, and Society (TSAS) serves on the executive of the Canadian Network for the Study of Security, Extremism and Society (CANSES) as co-lead of the working group on early career researchers. She has published extensively in major journals including Security Dialogue, International Political Sociology, Terrorism and Political Violence, and Critical Military Studies on topics such as gender and national security, heroism and global politics, IR pedagogy, mega-event security, Canadian-American security relations, and transatlantic security relations.

Tanya Narozhna is Professor of global politics in the Department of Political Science at the University of Winnipeg. Her key research areas include critical security studies, war studies, gender and terrorism. Prof. Narozhna is the lead author (with W. Andy Knight) of Female Suicide Bombings: A Critical Gender Approach published by the University of Toronto Press. She is the recipient of the Faculty of Arts Achievement in Scholarly or Creative Activity Award and the Outstanding Scholarship Prize of the Women's and Gender Studies et Recherches Féministes Association. Prof. Narozhna's work has been published in major international and national journals, including International Theory, Journal of International Relations and Development, Australian Journal of International Affairs, and Canadian Foreign Policy. She is currently working on a few research projects, including radicalization toward extremism in Manitoba schools; gender analysis of national security institutions in Canada; and war as embodied experience.
