Larry Peterson retired from United Airlines as a Boeing 757/767 Standards captain. He is the coeditor of the Command Decisions in America's Civil War series and author of six volumes in the series, most recently Decisions of the Vicksburg Campaign. Peterson was formerly president of the Rocky Mountain Civil War Roundtable.

Matt Spruill is a retired US Army colonel and Civil War historian and lecturer. He is the coeditor of the Command Decisions in America's Civil War series and the author of many previously published Civil War books, including Decisions at Stones River, Decisions at Second Manassas, and Decisions at Gettysburg. Spruill was formerly president of the Rocky Mountain Civil War Roundtable.
