New York City Street Ephemera: 2023-2026 gathers political stickers, posters and street notices collected across New York in the years after the pandemic. The book documents a city speaking through walls, poles, windows, scaffolding, subway entrances and storefronts. The material moves across protest, local elections, Palestine, policing, housing, labor, antifascism, mutual aid, conspiracy, grief, public anger and small handmade messages left for strangers. These objects were not made for archives. Most were pasted, torn, covered, weathered, removed or replaced within days. Together, they form a record of public feeling in a city where politics often appears first as paper on the street. Collected between 2023 and 2026, this volume preserves a temporary visual culture before it disappears.
