I am Professor Emeritus from the University of Connecticut and have published more than 20 books with Oxford UP, St. Martins Press, Macmillan, McGraw-Hill, Bedford Books, and more. I am a member of the Authors Guild and the Dramatists Guild and have had plays produced in small theaters in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. My poetry and short fiction have appeared in numerous small magazines. My novel, Crown Island (Hammonasset House Books, 2010), is set in a Connecticut harbor town. My collection of stories, Hawaiian Tales: The Girl with Heavenly Eyes, was published by Tell Me Press in March, 2015. The Romantic Soul of Emma Now (Hammonasset House Books) was published in 2019.
