Aaron hears voices in the walls. Shantay says he's imagining it. The smell of smoke says otherwise. The keys that don't belong. The bruises. The notebook that vanished.
Their daughters sleep behind a closed door.
And someone is laughing in the living room at 2 a.m.
No one is in the apartment.
But Aaron is running out of ways to believe that.
