Dr. Gary Farley was one of the most caring, compassionate Christian men I have ever known. His passion for the local rural church in Pickens County, Alabama, was inspiring and unique. There are few associational leaders who have ever embodied the true mission of this role quite like Dr. Farley. After numerous conversations with him I truly believe that he woke up every morning thinking, "How might I assist the local church reach more people for Jesus Christ today?" His love for the people of Pickens County, Alabama, and the pastors who served his churches was par excellence.
