24 March 1999. A thousand NATO aircrafts began operating from air bases in Germany and Italy. USS Theodore Roosevelt plane holder had just landed on the Adriatic Sea. Spanish Air Force Aircraft F/A-18 Hornets were the first to throw bombs on Belgrade. BGM - 109 Tomahawk began to fire missiles from ships and submarine boards, supported by a battalion of Apache helicopters which belonged to the Eleventh US Regiment Army Aviation. NATO airstrikes hit Belgrade's Ministry of Interior building, the Chinese embassy and several bridges over the Danube River.
