Melissa Avstreih is a mother of two young beachcombers. She leveraged her Harvard University journalism degree and her decades of experience researching, writing, and fact-checking to author Seashells of the Jersey Shore. She currently lives in Arlington, Virginia, and has enjoyed many summers "down the shore."
