Jirí Cejka
Jirí Cejka is a professor at Charles University. In 2005, he chaired the 3rd FEZA Conference on Zeolites, in Prague, and he frequently organizes workshops on zeolites and catalysis, such as the EFCATS School on Catalysis in 2018. His research interests include synthesis of zeolites and nanoporous materials, sorption, and catalysis. With a h-index of 68, Jirí Cejka is the co-author of 400 papers totalling more than 17000 citations and co-editor of 6 books. As a principal investigator, his projects have been funded by the ExPro programme of the Czech Science Foundation and Horizon Europe. In 2020, he received the FEZA baron Axel F. Cronsted Award with W. Roth.
David P. Serrano
D. P. Serrano is the Director of the IMDEA Energy Institute and a professor of chemical engineering at Rey Juan Carlos University, where he has held other positions, such as vice-rector for research and technological innovation and head of the chemical and environmental technology department. From 2015 to 2023, he was the President of the Spanish Zeolite Group. After graduating with a PhD from Complutense University of Madrid, he worked as a visiting researcher at CALTECH, returning to California in 2006 for a sabbatical at UCSB. Throughout his career, he has participated in approximately 80 research projects, including as the Coordinator of the FP7 EU CASCATBEL project, and co-authored 260 indexed publications (13,500 citations; h-index = 67). He was recently awarded an ERC Advanced Grant for the development of dendritic zeolites and in 2024 he was appointed as a member of Spanish Royal Academy of Sciences.
