Historians have not agreed on the origin of Freemasonry and how it originated. Opinions have conflicted and opinions have differed regarding it. Some attribute its origin to the oldest times, and some say: It does not exceed the seventeenth generation. In general, without knowing the truth, curtains are drawn that prevent the light from piercing the veil and achieving any of that. Because from wherever we came to it and from whatever direction we sought it in order to stand at the truth and be aware of its truthfulness, we see in front of us obstacles that obstruct our quest and leave us confused about the matter of its origin and knowledge of its first founder. This is due to the passing of days and the passing of years and years.
However, due to the many Masonic scholars and historians who delved, they found an effort to investigate the truth. They achieved a goal that they had always aspired to, and they realized a wish that they often longed to know its essence. They uncovered many of the facts and mysteries that prevented that and stood as an impenetrable barrier in our faces that investigation could not penetrate and exploration could not push away.
