Haydée is abducted from her bed without her glasses and dropped in the middle of an alien fighting arena. Ira nodded. "It is good to be able to speak to you. I feel like I have so much to say, but every time I look into your eyes, the words leave me."
"Oh, then maybe you should close your eyes to talk to me," I said, feeling a blush rise up.
I could clearly see the look in his eyes, as if he didn't care for soup and only wanted me as his next meal. I remembered how his lips felt on mine, how he tasted, and I wanted to experience all of that again, and again until all I could feel was him.
"But I want to see you," Ira said, stretching out his hand and gently caressing my reddened cheek. "All of you."
"I want that too," I said, but my growling stomach redirected the conversation.
