Hailey Hart isn't exactly happy that her latest job placement with the Traum Temp Agency is maid service in the local hotel, but she's even unhappier when she discovers a dead body in one of the rooms.

The hotel owner is afraid the negative publicity will bankrupt her business, so she hires a private investigator to solve the murder. Now Hailey finds herself torn between helping her friend Detective Bilson with the investigation and assisting the P.I. her boss hired.

And the more she digs into this case the more she feels like the killer is watching her every move. One thing is certain: Hailey is over all the dead bodies that keep turning up in her life. She's afraid if she doesn't stop getting involved in murder investigations, she'll be the next victim.
