In the time of the Great Depression, money and morals were in short supply. The selling of children was not unheard of. Annick's mother thought more of the mighty dollar than her own daughter, never questioning what was to become of her. Little did she know the power she was to allow her daughter to become!
That was how she met me, and how we become we.
I am the mighty Maymon, Demon King of the South! All powerful in the underneath, but until summoned, barred from walking in the sunshine of the above. Annick was chosen for me, hand picked by those who meant to control us. Lucky for me, and the girl, she had other ideas.
