The twenty first century that poses many challenges and enormous pressure on our daily life, work and society. Information and communication technologies (ICT) transform all aspect of education and distance education (DE), The expression open and distance learning reflect both the information that all or most of the teaching is conducted by somebody who is gone from the learner, and that the project aims to include better proportions of sincerity and flexibility, whether in terms of right of entry, curriculum or other elements of organization. Now-a-days the role of Information and Communication Technology, in the education sector plays an important role, especially in the process of empowering the technology into the educational activities. Education sector can be the most effective sector to anticipate and eliminate the negative impact of ICT. A country can grow only if it makes the maximum use of its resources. India is blessed with huge population of 1200 million, and children below 7 form the bulk of the population.
