Bean Town Investigations is a company located in Boston, MA. The owners are a pair of private investigators, life partners named Ray and Frenchy. A Back Bay divorcee hires them to investigate the death of her day-trader ex-husband, found slumped over his desk in Boston's financial district.
The pair enlist the aid of a retired Boston police detective, and a teaching professor who is a cancer survivor. Their search crisscrosses into Cambridge, back through the alleys of Back Bay, and they find themselves on a sailing vessel headed toward Martha's Vineyard.
