H. Max Hiller translates forty years in the hospitality industry and twenty years of living in New Orleans to create his mystery series which uses the food and settings of just-post-Katrina to enhance mysteries which hinge on either Detective Holland's cloudy past as a Tier-One operator or the city's struggles to recover from Hurricane Katrina, often both.
